Where to have a vegan brunch in Cork

Whether you’re recovering from a wild night or just enjoying the laziness of the weekend, brunch is the perfect thing to do on a Saturday or Sunday morning. And keeping it vegan is not so difficult if you know where to go. Choose among avocado toasts, savory wraps, homemade granola, full vegan breakfast, pancakes… here you have all of this!

143V is not in the city center, you’ll have to walk for 10-15 minutes towards the train station to find it, but it worths a visit. The brunch menu offers toasts, porridge, chia pudding, tofu scramble, pancakes… The breakfast bagel (see picture above) is the best option if you’re in the mood for Irish breakfast. Do you need a boost of vitamins? Choose one of their fresh juices and smoothies, they have a big choice.

Toast
  • Housemade peanut butter, caramelised apple, pine nuts, honey drizzle (ask for it without honey)
  • Smashed avocado, poached eggs, roast cherry tomatoes on the vine, feta (ask for it without eggs and feta)
  • Hummus, walnuts, pomegranate

Bowls
  • Forest fruits smoothie bowl, coconut yogurt, seasonal fruit, housemade granola
  • Pimped coconut milk porridge, peanut butter, fresh berries, raspberry coulis
  • Housemade granola, pistachios, walnuts, pine nuts, dried fruit, coconut yogurt or coconut milk

This fancy looked but friendly café has two locations in Cork. The one that I tried for the brunch was at The Elysian, close to Aldi. Try their homemade granola, it’s simply delicious. If you’re feeling hungry, add one of their vegan toast.



Pink Moon

Washington Street - Centre, Cork

Full vegan breakfast - Vegan brunch in Cork

Vegan options for brunch:
  • Power porridge
  • Full vegan breakfast
  • Knickerbocker granola

Small, cute and dog friendly, Pinkmoon has some vegan options for brunch, as the full vegan breakfast in the picture above. But I felt in love with this place for their great choice of vegan sweet treats.

Liberty Grill

32 Washington St - Centre, Cork

  • Homemade maple granola
  • Breakfast sundae
  • French toast*

Liberty Grill is a super vegan friendly restaurant located in the city center. I tried it for dinner a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised with the nice atmosphere and amazing service and attention to detail from the staff.

* It seems that they have vegan french toast, but I'm not completely sure as I didn't try it myself and it is not included as a vegan option in their online menu. I'll update this post as soon as I get it confirmed.



Earth Café

South Mall - Centre, Cork

Breakfast wrap - Vegan brunch in Cork

Vegan options for brunch:
  • Everything

This completely vegan café has become really popular in Cork. Located in the very city center, it offers a fully plant-based menu that includes savoury jackfruit wraps, salad bowls and “ham ‘n cheese” sandwiches that will convince also non vegan eaters. In the picture above you can see the breakfast wrap. Furthermore, it’s a great place to sit on a sunny day.

Vegan options for brunch:

Even if they have just a couple of vegan options, you should go to Good Day Deli, a lovely place hidden in Cork city. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, you will enjoy this place the most in a sunny day looking through the windows and, yes, feeling good.
